| Our Board of Directors | |||||||||
The State of Illinois requires the board
of a nonprofit corporation to have at least three directors, which is
the number we have maintained since 2003. (In the past we've had as many
as 10.) Laurie Reyna, board member since 1989, is our managing director
and treasurer, producing our shows and serving as the liaison to the
school district. Glenn Reyna, who has been involved with S.T.A.R. since
1990 and joined our board in 2001, is our technical coordinator,
handling all wiring and set-building, and recording the announcements
and sound effects for our productions. Dennis Mulvey, who has been with
our group since 1995 and was elected to our board in 1999, assists with
set construction, transportation, storage, and house management, and
appears in many of our productions.
