Traveling Shows

Our most recent road show, "Unveiling," won the 1st Place trophy in the American Association of Community Theatre AACTFest Illinois state competition in Belvidere, Illinois, August 6-8, 2004. Click here to see some photos. We went on to represent Illinois in a five-state regional competition in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, on April 8-10, 2005. Our entry was a unique 40-minute play written by Václav Havel, translated by Jan Novak, and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Our director, Laurie Reyna, was assisted by Meg Collins. Our tech director and sound designer/engineer was Glenn Reyna, and our stage manager was Dennis Mulvey. First Runner-Up of the 2004-05 Illinois State AACTFest competition was the Waukegan Community Players entry, "Sure Thing" by David Ives, directed by Margaret Hughes.

 

This hilarious half-hour play by Jonathan Rand was part of our fall 2000 production of one-acts, then, with various cast members, toured libraries and private events from 2001 through 2003. Our most recent incarnation of the "Hard Candy" road show was directed by Laurie Reyna and produced by special arrangement with Playscripts.com.
